Image # A58-356; I captured the image of this piece of history west of Maple City, Kansas. It hasn't been many years ago that the "little house behind the big house", also known as "the outhouse", was a common sight in rural America. The "necessary", played an important role in our society, and provided solitude and a place to "sit and think". Well, the times they are a changin' and the ole wooden outhouse or "Randy" as it is sometimes called has all but passed into obscurity.
