Image #’s A58-157, 225, 183; I captured these images of Amelia Earhart’s Birthplace and Museum, Located on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River; this is the most famous house in Atchison, Kansas.  The renowned woman aviator, Amelia Earhart was born in 1897 in the southwest bedroom of the second floor.  This was the home of her maternal grandparents, Judge Alfred Otis and Amelia Harres Otis.  This house is a wood-frame, Gothic Revival Cottage, built in 1861, and probably the oldest large home remaining in Atchison.
