Image #’s A58-419, 420, 421; While visiting the Wichita Botanical Gardens, I captured these images in Botanica's Butterfly House which is a 2,880-square foot net-covered free-flight butterfly exhibit.  Here Visitors can watch as butterflies emerge from their chrysalides and take their first tentative flights.  Identification is from left to right beginning with the Julia Longwing; it can have a wing span over 3½ inches.  The male is bright orange above and below; with the upper side of the hind-wing having a narrow black border on the outer margin.  (Center) is the White Peacock and is identified by its upper-side which is white with light brown markings and a double row of light crescents at the margins.  (Left) are the Zebra Longwings, they can have a wing span up to 4 inches which are black, long, and narrow; with narrow light yellow stripes.
