“GREETINGS FROM THE SHUTTERBUG IN WICHITA, KANSAS  ~  USA!”
I was born during the year of 1948 in a small northwest Kansas town by the name of Quinter.  I grew up in Hoxie, Kansas where I attended school until I left home in 1966.  I met and was married to my wife Judy in Newton, Kansas during the year of 1970.  We are the proud parents of two adult sons, and grandparents to two precious little granddaughters; whom we love very much, as they are our only girls.
Since a young boy, I have always been fascinated with cameras, pictures, and photography.  My greatest interest in the world of photography started nearly 30 years ago when I was invited by a veterinarian to develop an X-Ray taken of our pet.  After that, I started buying and reading all kinds of books related to photography.  It was not long before I was blocking the light from our bathroom window and trying my hand at developing B/W negative film.  Upon realizing how simple it really was, I was soon investing in a simple black and white enlarger along with other darkroom equipment and supplies.  While converting our smallest bedroom into a darkroom, I worked with and studied B/W for a year or more while I also learned how to use all the controls on my new 35mm SLR camera.  It was not long after that, when I began feeling the urge to experiment with color.  Oh, my goodness; this is when my problems really began!  Unfortunately, I had to purchase a larger wastebasket for my darkroom, as the smaller one was always over flowing.  However, as I continued to work and study in color it was not long before I realized that I was beginning to get a handle on all of this.  It took about 2 years before I started getting real nice compliments on some of my color photographs.
Thank God for the digital age!  I no longer work in my darkroom, since all of my work is accomplished with a digital camera and my PC; I have found that working with digital images are so much easier and less time consuming.  In closing, may the good Lord pour out His many blessings upon you each and every day.
